Su'ad came into the library one night while I was surfing the Internet. Oh no, I forgot to hide my cigarette. She saw it next to my laptop.. and all hell broke loose.. well.. it broke loose on me! :p

Su'ad: AYAH! Ayah kata nak berenti hisap rokok!
Hero: Aaa.. aaa..
Su'ad: Ayah nak jadi macam ni ke? Kesian baby ni!

(pointing to the cigarette box, some idiot thought it would be swell to put up nasty pics on cigarette boxes and mine that day showed miscarriage or something.. it's not like I'm pregnant or anything.. but try to explain that to a seven year old!)

Hero: Aaa.. ayah memang nak berenti. Ok.. ok.. lepas ni ayah berenti ok?
Su'ad: Hari tu pun ayah cakap nak berenti! Tak berenti pun!
Hero: Aaa.. aaa..
Su'ad: Kenapa ayah tak baca buku kecik tu? Buku kawan ayah bagi tu! Ayah kena baca barulah boleh berenti!
Hero: ...

Ini Ivan dan Yin Ping punya pasal la nih! Last year they gave me this small book for my birthday present. It was a self-help guide to stop smoking. My wife made my kids aware of the purpose of the book that was designed to look like a cigarette box (but NOT). Ever since then the kids will look for ways to shove it at my face, so to speak. Every time I placed it on the shelves in the library, that damn small book will always find its way to my bedside table, my study table and even the fridge! :p One of these days, I think I'll have to finally concede and just give in to their demands.
