Annals of Main Bontot: I believe he was coerced
Written by Hero on 7/04/2008 09:47:00 PMThat is what Americk Singh Sidhu, the lawyer who had prepared the first statutory declaration for private investigator P. Balasubramaniam, said to the press.
He stressed that he had no reason to believe that Balasubramaniam was not telling the truth. He also said that the shocking Statutory Declaration was prepared over a period of one-and-half months in meetings with Balasubramaniam that lasted for hours. It is downright funny that after all the hassle, he would just retract the whole damn thing in less than a day and cited that the first one was made under duress. Americk also said,
Americk further added that Balasubramaniam received a number of call after making the declaration public, and that one of them was from ASP Tonny Lunggan, the investigating officer of the Altantuya murder case. He spoke to the ASP and everything seemed okay. Later, (Americk believed) Balasubramaniam left his office to see the police officer.
Americk didn't think that he needed to advise his client about his personal safety since,
That was a good one. LOL
And shortly after.. Balasubramaniam retracted his previous Statutory Declaration.
Who are we kidding?
Do you see what they do to people who came up with the truth? Imagine what they can do to you! Malaysians, take a stand! Have a say! What, you don't have a say? You don't want to make a stand? You think all of them politicians are wrong? You fancy being in the f****ng middle ALL THE TIME and make a no wrong, no right shitty analysis just so that you can appear unbiased? Wow.. now that is stupid. But even that can be considered as a stand. Write a blog. Write to the newspapers. Call up your UMNO friends and tell them how stupid they are. Write on the goddamn wall if you must. Do something. Don't let them get away with this. The truth must be told. The person who is telling the truth must be protected!

He believed the private eye had been coerced "by either threats or promises as I can think of no other reason."
He stressed that his client had made the first sworn declaration voluntarily without duress.
